Do you own a website? Or even more accurate I’d ask do you own a server? Ever experienced DDoS attacks?
I still remembered when the Million Dollar Homepage suffered from DDoS. The site, at its peak popularity, was not available for quite a while until ProxyShield gave Alex some help. Thankfully he did not have to spend a dollar paying the $50,000.00 ransom.
During my previous works, I have also personally experienced DDoS on the servers I am working for but as I am not the one making the decisions, we cracked our heads working on Open Source solutions and monitoring the servers like crazy. Personally I’d look for paid help from experts. ProxyShield DDoS Protection is definitely my first option as they have the best reputation so far in this area.
What I meant by prevention? Well, this technology prevents downtime of your server and services. If your server is down due to DDoS attack, it would definitely take time to recover, and there’s even a chance you need to do drastic measures such as changing IP addresses or even bringing the server down until the attacks reduces, if not stop. So don’t take any chance, act on it. If a prospective client tries to access your site and failed, the chances are that the visitor will turn away and finally forget about your site!
