A new breed of firewall is out on the street: mail firewall. As a Firewall Engineer myself, I deal with traffic firewall on a daily basis but not specific to certain services. It may be a good idea to separate mail firewall as e-mails are generally one of the main form of communication in this electronics age.

I stumbled upon this technology when I found this anti image spam product by BorderWare. It is designed to intercept mail messages that contains image spams (spam message consists of an image and a small amount of text), which is very hard for text-based spam filters to detect and intercept (i.e. spamassassin).

Everyone hates spams. This solution is very suitable for companies looking for a supported, proprietary technology to stop their spam problems.
